What is your favorite subject in school?:
What kind of extra-curricular activities or hobbies do you enjoy participating in?:
I like skiing, due to fast speeds and the adrenaline, soccer and basketball, drumming, because music is my life, and Science Olympiad, because a little competition is always cool with me.
What career do you want to pursue and why?:
I would like to become a scientist, nothing too specific yet, because I haven't weighed my options. Science really helps life easier, and lets us understand the past, future, and present. I want to be a part of science, and the development of new ideas, theories, and technology.
Why did you enter in the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge?:
My science teacher told me about this challenge, and it seemed simple enough, nothing too hard or time-extensive, like an essay. I'm competing because I need the money for college, because costs are rising. Also, I am competing for fun. Competitions are ALWAYS fun.
What do you enjoy most about science?:
Well, this question is hard for me to answer, because I like many things about science, such as the theory of relativity (time-travel is awesome..yet paradoxical), physics (movement), and energy (kinetic and potential). All of these things amaze me in ways I don't know exactly how to say.
Anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?:
I'm usually an outgoing person. I like adventures and hands-on experiments. I like to do math, especially geometry, and any math competitions like Mathcounts or Math League. I'm not shy, and I like meeting new people.
