SAHIL DOSHI NAMED AMERICA’S TOP YOUNG SCIENTIST| The top 10 finalists of the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge traveled to 3M headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota earlier this week to compete for the title of America’s Top Young Scientist and $25,000! Ninth grader, Sahil Doshi, from Upper St. Clair School District’s Upper St. Clair High School, took home the title. Read more

As I participated in a 3M-wide poster session this week, I was reminded of the importance of being able to communicate what you’re researching to a variety of people who may come up and talk to you during a poster session. This type of interaction starts early in school for most of us, when we are encouraged to participate in science fairs or other competitions where we start communicating our work to others.
