The 2013 Young Scientist Challenge is Now Open for Entries!
The Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge is now accepting entries for the 2013 competition!
To enter, students in grades 5-8, are asked to create a 1-2 minute video showcasing their great idea to solve a real-world problem. Videos will not be judged on production skills and may be recorded on cell phones or basic digital cameras.
Ten national finalists will have the opportunity to work directly with a 3M scientist in an exclusive summer mentorship program and bring their innovative ideas to life. One lucky student has the chance to win: $25,000, a once-in-a-lifetime trip with Discovery Student Adventures, and many more exciting prizes.
New for 2013 - The first 50 students to submit a video will receive a Young Scientist Challenge prize pack!
