I've been working as much as I can on this project- around school, homework, band practice, etc. And even so, the progress is only going as far as it can. The demonstration isn’t going to be as exact as I wish it could be, but as I can’t demonstrate the exact functions of the eye, I can’t exactly produce a detailed replica :).
Meanwhile- my project is going to be described in the video blog below, so watch it for more information!

Mostly, this blog is just a big thank you. This is a tremendous opportunity, one that I wouldn’t have gotten without my family’s support to push me to keep going, and try again. I also want to thank all the people that inspired me to do this project. I’d like to thank those of you out there who can relate to the problem I am addressing, which is vision loss in Macular degeneration, and I thank my friends and teachers for their encouragement and continued praise. I guess the lesson that anyone should take from this would be that doing what you love is the important part of life, and if you truly enjoy it, you will excel in it.
I hope everyone has had a great summer- I can’t wait for the competition in about 3 weeks-and thanks again!
