Aidan - Time to Get Busy!
I have some new updates!
It's been a busy week for me in the Challenge.
First off, I met my mentor Dr. Erdogan-Haug this past week. We had a great meeting and we discussed some preliminary ideas for my innovation.
I was impressed by her fantastic experience and we talked about some of the innovations and patents that she developed. I discovered that 3m scientists like Dr. Erdogan-Haug are motivated by their passion for science and their drive to solve problems. After speaking with my mentor, I realized that natural curiosity and scientific inquiry inspire a lot of the work pursued by 3m scientists. I like to think I have the same spirit and I look forward to working with her in the weeks ahead.
The process of research and investigating the technical problems that I want to explore is moving along smoothly. I have been doing a lot of research on sources from the United Nations and keeping track of issues in my logbook. I am pleased to say I have some solid ideas for my innovation project-- but I'm not ready to reveal it just yet! But as a clue-- it may just help a quarter of the world's population--that's over 1.5 billion people!
